Villa Borghini is a name of a noble building located in Arezzo (ancient Etruscan town of Tuscany), where in 1978 the professor of Chemistry Dr. Bruno Angilella turned empiric cosmetics into an innovative cosmetological science. This methodolgy in 1986 became a Ministerial Patent called Bio-Scientific Dermatology and for which in 1994 Dr. Bruno Angilella was awarded the International Award for Medicinal Science (Primo Internationale Scienza Tema Medicina).

Such innovative science has completely revolutionized the concept of cosmetic products. Like pharmaceutical medicine, cosmetics, although aimed at a different market get in contact with the skin. Therefore, they have to be specifically tested for safety and clinical effectiveness.

Since the origin, the creator of Villa Borghini Dr. Bruno Angilella has not used more then 28 dangerous ingredients in the manufacturing of VB products, and only after 27 years the European Commission came to the same conclusion and declared that more than 26 ingredients widely used in the manufacturing of the hair products, like perfumes, are dangerous.

What makes VB products different?

The products are manufactured without the addition of colorings, perfumes, and thickening ingredients since their origin (1978), because the very high quality of raw materials we use allows us to avoid any kind of covering.
